Overview
Unlike the handheld models the TM-7 is not battery-powered. It runs from a 12V or 24V DC supply, which suits it to permanent installation in a vehicle cab, a control room or a dispatch desk — the desk and the dashboard rather than the belt clip.
What it does
- Dual SIM operation
- Two SIM cards, which matters for a base station that has to stay reachable when one network is having a bad day.
- External GPS and GSM antennas
- Supplied with the unit — essential for a device mounted inside a cab or a building where an internal antenna would struggle.
- Dual-band Wi-Fi
- IEEE 802.11 b/g/n on both 2.4G and 5G.
- 5W speaker
- Audio output sized for a vehicle cab or a dispatch room rather than a handset held to the ear.
- Colour touch screen
- On-unit control without a separate terminal.
